Hi everyone,
I cannot believe we're even old enough to be celebrating our 30th class reunion. When did I get so old? I haven't had a chance to look at anyone's profile yet, so you all still look 17 years old in my minds eye. I haven't been up to much these past years. The summer after graduating I landed a summer job at AGT and ended up working there for 2 years as a secretary. That second summer I felt too cooped up and longed to be outside, next thing I knew, I found myself working at a daycare thinking that it would be "fun" and "easy" to be outside watching children play. I caught on quickly that it wasn't either. October 1983 I married and Oct 1985 our son Stephen was born. When Stephen was a year old, I started a dayhome and over the next 16 years he had a lot of children over everyday to play with. For 2 years after that I worked at our neighborhood elementary school. In 2000, my husband started up a business with his brother a couple hours south east of the city and after commuting for 6 years we decided to make a permanent move to Forestburg. At about the same time our son decided he could only get an education in Victoria, B.C. (sarcasm) and so he currently resides there and attends the University of Victoria where he is studying human geography and economic public policy.
January 1999 I was diagnosed with MS. In the last 2 years my mobility has been limited, so for the most part I use a wheelchair. I have good days and bad days, and hopefully September 19 is a good day. See you at the wine and cheese reception.
